Snow alert day – 12/14/17

Today: We’ve got a snow alert in effect across southern Colorado today! That’s because light snow is possible throughout the morning; it’s expected to taper off this afternoon, with only isolated spots of flurries later today. In the meantime, there are cloudy skies, slick/wet roads and light snow accumulations (just as expected)! Use caution as you’re driving around this morning. Highs will be cold, only reaching the 30s and 40s. There will be a slight breeze.

Tonight: Lows drop to the teens and the 20s under clearing skies. We’ll have drier conditions overnight. Still a small chance for a slick spots as roads refreeze.

Extended: Temperatures rebound into the 40s and 50s on Friday! That will be accompanied by increasing sunshine and drier conditions. This weekend, there’s a slight chance for a fast-moving disturbance. This could be a quick shot of moisture, primarily on Sunday. Right now, any travel impacts from the light wintry weather should be minimal. We’ll track it for you!
