Venetucci Farm’s 2 Haflingers taken in by Ellicott horse shelter

As Venetucci Farm continues to struggle financially, two large parts of the team were left without a place to go. Luckily a local shelter stepped in to help.

Next Step Horse Rescue in Ellicott, Colo. has taken in the farm’s two Haflingers, Duke and Duchess.

Those who have visited Venetucci Farm will recognize the horses as the ones who pulled the farm plows and gave hayrides.

According to the shelter, the two are now program horses. They were just recently featured in the First Annual Christmas Parade in Calhan and the Ellicott Christmas Parade.

If you are disappointed that the pair will no longer be at Venetucci Farm, the shelter says you can visit them anytime at their place located at 2222 N Ellicott Highway.
