Man’s leg amputated by train near downtown Colorado Springs

A man was rushed to the hospital on Monday night after his leg was amputated by a train near downtown Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs police responded to the incident in the area of America the Beautiful Park at around 8:30 p.m.

Someone had called 911 to report that a man in his 30s had lost his lower left leg.
