Police: Drunk driver crashes into utility pole, knocks out power

Police believe alcohol is to blame for a driver crashing into a utility pole and knocking out power in part of Colorado Springs.

The crash happened shortly after 11 p.m. Friday night in the area of Hancock Expressway and Circle Drive.

When the driver hit the utility pole, it sparked a small grass fire and knocked out power in the area, police said.

The driver was not seriously injured.
