Suspect in hours-long manhunt in SE Colorado Springs neighborhood arrested

The suspect behind an hours-long manhunt in a southeast Colorado Springs neighborhood on Wednesday night has been arrested.

The manhunt began at around 6:30 p.m. when Colorado Springs officers tried to arrest a man wanted on several warrants in the area of Circle and Monterey. The suspect somehow escaped arrest until he was captured a little more than two hours later.

An emergency dispatch call was sent out to people living in the half-mile radius from Circle and Monterey.

This was the general search area where officers were looking for the suspect:

At around 8:45 p.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department tweeted that they had the suspect in custody.

That man’s identity has not been released.

No injuries have been reported.
