Frigid day with a few showers ahead – 12/06/17

Today: It will be COLD once again! Highs will range in the 20s and 30s, and there could be wind chills in the teens and 20s. Slightly breezy conditions will make those temperatures feel cooler, so make sure to bundle up! There will be partly sunny skies today with primarily dry conditions. However, late tonight and into early tomorrow morning, there could be light snow along the Palmer Divide and the Raton Mesa areas.

Tonight: Any light showers that we see tonight and overnight will only have little to no accumulations. Even still, there could be slick areas where snow develops, so stay weather aware! We’ll have partly cloudy skies overnight with lows in the single digits and teens.

Extended: Tomorrow morning, there could be wind chill temperatures in the single digits and even subzero! It will be gusty tomorrow and cooler for some spots. Tomorrow afternoon and evening, we have another chance for a few showers in the Pikes Peak region and along the Raton Mesa; however, little to no accumulations are expected. We’ll stay with strong gusts through Friday. By the end of the work week, temperatures reach the 50s. This weekend, we’re getting ready for milder and quieter conditions with warmer temperatures.
