Colorado crews en route to help with wildfires in California
As wildfires continue to ravage through southern California, Colorado crews are en route to lend a helping hand.
Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control announced on Wednesday that 17 Colorado engines, four task force leaders, and one of its two Multi-Mission Aircrafts are headed to California.
They left Colorado on Wednesday and their destination will be in Chino, California for staging and assignments.
There could be a second group of fire engines to deploy to California later this week.
A request for assistance was also filed for the Global Super Tanker. It started its journey west on Tuesday morning.
