A Cold Night Ahead – 12/4/17

TONIGHT: Bitter cold sets in tonight and area lows will drop into the teens and single digits. You will need to leave yourself extra time on Tuesday morning to heat up your car and scrape any frost from your windshields.

TUESDAY: 30s in the mountain cities and 40s across the Front Range are about as warm as it’ll get during the afternoon. The warm-up will be fairly quick after sunrise but with much colder air above us than in past weeks and fewer hours of daylight, we simply cannot warm up like we would in September or early October. One thing in our favor is that the breeze will be very light throughout the day at around 5-15mph.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks quiet and fairly cool. Highs will range from the 30s and 40s through Thursday. Highs jump back into the 50s and 60s by next weekend. No major active weather is expected.
