One man dead in rollover crash in Park County

One person is dead after a crash in Park County on Sunday morning. Colorado State Patrol says says only one car was involved.

The man who died has been identified as 44-year-old Andrew Davison of Hartsel. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The crash occurred on Park County Road 59, approximately 1.2 miles from the town of Hartsel, in Park County.

Police say it happened at 6:55 a.m.

CSP says a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound on Park County Road 59, when the driver went off the right side of the road. Davidson then overcorrected and came back on the road before driving off the left side of the road. The car then came back to the right and onto the road before veering left again. The car rolled two times, ejecting the driver.

The Jeep collided with a barbed wire fence.

Davidson was pronounced dead by the Park County Coroner.

Police say at this time, inattentive driving is considered as a causal factor, pending toxicology results.

This crash remains under investigation.
