One dead, 2 others injured in Pueblo County crash

Colorado State Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal car crash in Pueblo as Randy Derossett, 18, of Pueblo.

The crash happened just after 5:00 p.m. Saturday night on I-25 near milepost 106.

State Patrol says a 2007 Chevrolet sedan driven by Derossett was traveling southbound on I-25 when Derossett lost control.

The car crossed both southbound lanes of I-25 and off the right side of the road where it rolled two times ejecting Derossett and a passenger.

Derossett was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead on scene.

Two minor female passengers were also not wearing seatbelts. One of them was ejected and suffered serious injuries.

Both passengers were taken to a local hospital.

Alcohol and speed are being considered as factors in the crash. The crash is still under
investigation.
