Special Forces soldier from Fort Carson dies in Afghanistan

A Special Forces soldier from Fort Carson has died in Afghanistan.

The Defense Department says the solider is Sgt. 1st Class Stephen B. Cribben. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group from Fort Carson. The 33-year-old was from Simi Valley, California.

Officials say Cribben died Saturday as a result of wounds he suffered in combat operations.
