Deputies give all-clear after reports of armed woman at Stratmoor Elementary

The all-clear was given after Stratmoor Hills Elementary School in Colorado Springs was evacuated and closed for the day, following reports of an armed woman entering the building.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene on Loomis Avenue around 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Some students were sheltered in place at the school until the search was complete.

No one with a gun was found in or near Stratmoor Hills Elementary, the Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies have cleared the scene.
