UCCS student killed in hit-and-run crash in Colorado Springs

University of Colorado Colorado Springs is remembering one of its students who was killed in a hit-and-run auto-pedestrian crash Sunday morning.

The crash happened near the college’s campus at the intersection of Austin Bluffs Parkway and Stanton Road.

Police say a driver hit two pedestrians and then drove away. One person died at the intersection. Another person suffered minor injuries.

Officer have found the truck and the driver has been identified. We are working to find out if there have been any arrests.

Counseling services are available to students, faculty- and staff members by contacting the wellness center.
