Drugs considered a factor in deadly crash in Pueblo County

Colorado State Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Pueblo County.

It happened on Highway 50 near mile marker 328 around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.

29-year-old Matthew Devries, who is from Boone, died in the crash.

According to Colorado State Patrol, Devries was driving a van eastbound in the left hand lane of Highway 50 when the van drifted into the center median. He overcorrected, causing the vehicle to go off the road and roll two times.

Devries was thrown from the van and died at the scene, Colorado State Patrol said.

Drugs are being considered as a factor in the crash. However, it is still under investigation.
