TARGET 13 ALERT: Diono recalls 500,000+ car seats

Diono is recalling more than 500,000 of its child car seats.

The recall is over concerns the products might not protect a child in a crash. According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, children who weigh more than 65 pounds have a higher risk of injury in an accident, if the car seats are secured using a lap belt without the top tether.

Here is a list of the products being recalled:

Olympia Pacifica Radian R100 Radian RXT Radian R120 Rainier convertible and booster seats

* Production dates range from January of 2014 to September 2017.

Diono says there are no reported injuries, but it will send customers a new chest clip and absorbing pad.

You can call Diono at (855) 463-4666.
