Massive bust takes $8.7 million of drugs off the streets

A massive drug bust has taken more than $8.7 million worth of drugs off the streets of Colorado.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Metro Vice Narcotics and Intelligence Unit busted a trafficking organization distributing drugs in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas.

Authorities confiscated 10.78 pounds of heroin with a street value of $2.4 million, 38.35 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of $6.3 million, along with an additional 51 grams of heroin, 2 grams of cocaine, firearms and $24,000 in cash.
