Nurses at a Denver hospital suspended for looking at a dead man’s genitals

Five nurses were suspended at Denver Health Medical Center for inappropriately viewing and admiring a dead man’s genitals because of their size.

According to Denver7, the incident happened sometime between March 31 and April 3, 2017, but wasn’t reported until May 8.

A Denver police report says multiple staff members viewed the victim while he was incapacitated and after he died.

Another staff member overheard the nurses and reported it to the hospital.

The five nurses were suspended for three weeks and four have since returned to work. One nurse is no longer employed by the hospital but wasn’t fired.

Denver police say they responded to the incident but decided to have the hospital handle the issue internally.
