Co. Red Cross worker reported missing in Houston found safe

An American Red Cross worker from Colorado who went missing during relief efforts in Houston, has been found safe.

Corey Hixson, who is from Lakewood, had been unaccounted for after going out Monday morning. A Red Cross spokesman told our news partners in Denver that Hixson, who is trained in survival methods, drives an emergency response vehicle.

Hixson’s family told our news partners in Denver that Corey volunteers with several organizations apart from the Red Cross, and is “pretty dedicated.”
