Lewis Palmer District 38 has first day of school

With the start of a new year, new doors are opened for the students at Lewis Palmer High School.

“Once kids get back into the building the excitement fills the air and there’s nothing like it,” Principal Tony Karr said.

Principal Karr is new to Lewis Palmer High School this year and says he’s looking forward to helping students grow and learn

This year, the school is focusing on three new goals.

These goals include e xpanding options for multiple pathways to graduation and preparation for post-secondary success, facilitating long-range planning activities to ensure sound planning for future facility needs and designing and implement a comprehensive and coordinated system for school safety and security.

The district has also developed a new app that is free to Android and iPhone users. The app will allow the district to directly reach out to parents and students. The app also allows students to check grades, look at their schedules and sign up for classes.

Although you are able to download the app right now, it won’t be fully operational for another few days. You can search Lewis-Palmer SD #38 in the app store to download the app.
