Teen dies in early-morning crash on NB I-25

Troopers say a 16-year-old is dead after losing control of his car near the Interquest exit.

Jose Huerta, from Colorado Springs, drove off the road and hit a cable rail yesterday morning. Two other cars then hit him.

Crews rushed Huerta to the hospital where he later died. State patrol says he was not wearing a seat belt.

Police say, at this time, alcohol and drug use are not considered to have been contributing factors in the crash and falling asleep at the wheel could be the cause.

A total of six people, Including, two children, were involved in the accident.

Colin Glenn, 27, and Grace Sung, 24, both suffered serious injuries after hitting Huerta.
