Four more members of Fremont County Sheriff’s Office placed on leave

Four more members of the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office have been placed on administrative leave.

According to our news partners at the Pueblo Chieftain, the officers placed on leave are Sgt. Dave Baroz, Sgt. Felix Montoya, Sgt. Chad Myers and Cpl. Bradley Ross.

In a press conference on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office stated that they weren’t placed on leave for anything criminal related.

This brings the total to 11 members of the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office placed on administrative leave in 2017.

Two officers who were previously on leave have returned to work following investigations.

Detective Lt. Robert Dodd retired while he was on leave. Dodd is facing charges after what appears to be evidence from the 2006 Candace Hiltz homicide case was found in a storage unit Dodd once owned.
