19-year-old killed in head-on crash east of Colorado Springs, near Ellicott

A 19-year-old has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in El Paso County Thursday night. It happened around 10 p.m. on Highway 94 and E. Ellicott Road.

State patrol says a 19-year-old man, who was driving one of the vehicles died at the scene. A 36-year-old man was the other driver.

Troopers say the crash happened when the 19-year-old, who was heading westbound, crossed over into the eastbound lanes. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The condition of the other driver is unknown right now.

CSP says speed, alcohol/drugs and texting are not factors in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
