Van ends up on porch after crash in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police say a man is facing vehicular assault and reckless driving charges for reportedly running a stop sign and hitting a van.

According to officers, John Purcell was headed south on North Prospect Street when he slammed into a minivan heading west on East Kiowa Street.

The van was thrown into a porch. The driver has serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Three other people in Purcell’s truck were also hurt. But their injuries weren’t critical.
