Prosecutors ask to have two charges against Maketa dropped

Prosecutors have asked a judge to dismiss some of the charges filed against former El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa.

The Denver Post is reporting that prosecutors have asked a judge to drop two of the nine charges against Maketa.

It’s unclear whether the judge has dismissed those charges.

Maketa, former Commander John San Agustin and former Undersheriff Paula Presley were indicted in May of 2016 on various charges.
