Woman speaks out, police issue tips following violent road rage incident caught on camera

El Paso County investigators are looking into an apparent road rage incident that turned violent.

The video features a driver, Brandon Vega, being slapped and punched by a man identifying himself as Chad Huntsinger.

This is all after Vega apparently wasn’t going fast enough to let him pass on Old Stage Road.

“I did get a little nervous, he came up to me and got in my face a little bit,” Lyfe Englehart, who captured the video, said.

Now, police are issuing a warning. “If that person stays engaged with you, we recommend, make the next right turn, move out of the area. it’s not worth confronting someone over an act that occurs when you’re driving a motor vehicle,” said Lt. Howard Black, with the Colorado Springs Police Dept.

The degree of road rage can also vary.

“It might be just a quick hand gesture, might be somebody rolling down the window — and it goes all the way to homicide — we’ve had those types of cases here in Colorado Springs,” Black added.

Another tip: make sure to get the license plate number of someone who may be antagonizing you.So police can further investigate the incident. El Paso County deputies are currently looking into the case.
