Memorial Day ceremonies in Monument and Colorado Springs

The Pikes Peak Veterans Council will be holding their annual Memorial Day ceremony Monday.

The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the DAV Chapter #26 in the 6800 block of Palmer Park Blvd.

Col. Thomas Boccardi, the director of operations at NORAD and USNORTHCOM, will be the guest speaker.

The town of Monument will hold their annual Memorial Day ceremony Monday morning.

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. in the Monument Cemetery in the 800 block of Eighth Street.

It is free and open to the public.
