Don’t forget these travel tips for Memorial Day weekend

One million more Americans will be traveling this Memorial Day weekend than were traveling last year. And with construction areas, more cars on the road and extra law enforcement out, it may be hard to plan your perfect weekend getaway.

“When you’re packing your car for the weekend, pack your patience,” said CDOT communications manager Michelle Peulen.

Puelen went on to say, “Click It or Ticket is going on right now and law enforcement can pull you over and give you ticket if you’re not wearing your seat belt.”

During the campaign, not wearing a seat belt becomes a primary offense. This, along with The Heat is On campaign will be fully enforced this weekend.
