Arrest made in Teller County sex assault

A man wanted in a sexual assault case out of Teller County was arrested in Northern Colorado.

Jason Matthew Karr, 32, was arrested by the Windsor Police Department Thursday afternoon, according to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities were looking for Karr in connection to a sexual assault where the victim says she met the man through an online dating site. The Teller County Sheriff’s Office released a photo of the suspect Wednesday, asking the public for help identifying him. Karr was arrested the next day.

Karr was booked into the Weld County Jail. He is facing charges include sexual assault, false imprisonment, assault in the third degree and domestic violence.
