CSPD: Man chases people with hatchet

Police have arrested a man after they say he chased people around Colorado Springs with a hatchet.

Officers were dispatched to the 700-block of N. Academy Boulevard around 6:15 p.m. Friday.

They spotted the man near the intersection of Bijou and Academy.

According to police, the man was tased when he ran towards officers and was then taken into custody.

Police have identified the suspect as John Granier.

We have not heard of any reports of injuries.
