One dead in rollover crash on Highway 94

One person has died and another has been transported to a hospital following a single rollover crash Sunday afternoon.

The call came in at 12:03 p.m. for reports of an accident on Highway 94 near mile marker 12, that’s near Ellicott.

Two people were inside a Jeep when it crashed and rolled over. Officials are investigating what caused the crash.

The 23-year-old female passenger was ejected from the car and died on scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver, a 21-year-old male was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt.

No other vehicles were involved. A medical chopper was called to the scene for assistance.

Both lanes of Highway 94 near mile marker 12 are open.
