Crews battle house fire in Security-Widefield
Fire crews from Security and Hanover were able to quickly put out a fire at a home on the 1000 block of Hubbell Drive, around 1:50 am Friday morning.
The flames broke out in the master bedroom. Firefighters believe it was caused by a space heater. Two people were in the room at the time, one woke up to the smell of smoke. Both adults, along with their pets, were able to get out. There was damage to the bedroom and there was smoke damage to the rest of the house.
The house will have to be aired out, so the homeowners will be displaced until that happens.
