Local business owner catches burglars on camera

There were some scary moments for a local business owner and his pregnant girlfriend after they noticed items missing from their front lawn and then were shocked by what they found on their surveillance footage.

Dustin Maze and Brandy Leggett woke up to find equipment from their lawn care business missing. After checking the security camera, they saw two strangers had come to their home in the dead of night and stole the items while they were sleeping inside. Now they need your help finding the men who did it.

“It’s really creepy that you could be sitting here and somebody’s literally 20-30 feet away in your driveway,” Maze said.

The men drove up in what looked like a Ford Mustang about 3 a.m. Tuesday. They pushed what seemed to be a dog back into their car and began putting items aside that they may want to take. One of the men then went to the back of the house and walked directly in front of the camera, giving a clear view of his face.

After sitting in front of the house for several minutes the men left, only come back later with a truck. They put a barbecue and a ramp in the truck and drove off. If you have any information you’re asked to call the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
