Final days of the ski season in Breckenridge

As the snow continues to fall up in the mountains, skiers and snowboarders are enjoying the last days of the season by soaking up that powder.

“It’s definitely sad because as you see Beaver Creek and Keystone close you really realize that this is the end,” said boarder Chris Puchala.

It was a slower start to the season for Breckenridge Resort.

“We did delay at the beginning of the season because of conditions,” said Kristen Stewart, Director of Public Relations for Breckenridge. “Of course as we know in Colorado, it’s going to snow. So once we hit December, we got massive amounts of snowfall and into January we had a record.”

After that snowfall, the season picked up, and will end on Sunday with a pond skimming contest, open to the public.

If you still want to hit the slopes before the end of the season, Arapahoe Basin is open until June 1st, Lovland Ski Area is open until May 3rd and Winter Park is open until Aprill 26th.
