Drought conditions relieved slightly

Across southeastern Colorado, minor improvements have been made to the drought situation. Recent storms and increased moisture have contributed to this change.

The Pikes Peak region and the far southeast corner of the state are under a “moderate drought” category. All the areas highlighted in yellow are abnormally dry. Toward Denver and For Collins, there are even pockets of severe drought.
