Start-up executive, venture capitalist to speak at UCCS

An experienced start-up executive and venture capitalist will speak on the subject of food waste at UCCS Wednesday eveniing.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m.

Patrick Pultema is the CEO of FoodMaven, and has served as found an executive chairman of numerous companies. He has also sat on boards of multiple startups, and has been a prominent member in several venture capital firms.

Bultema’s speech is titled: “Lost in America: How 100’s of Billions of Dollars Goes Missing in the U.S. Food System Every Year.” He will also speak about how his company is working to transform the food system by capturing surplus food and identifying buyers of food that would otherwise go missing.
