The 3 rd Brigade Combat Team, 4 th Infantry Division participated in the first U.S. Paladin fire in Poland Thursday morning. It is part of an exercise with 17 other countries.

The Paladin weighs 28 tons and is manned by a crew of six. It has an effective range of at least 10 miles.

Thousands of soldiers from Fort Carson have been deployed to Poland and other parts of Europe as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
