How long does it take avalanche dogs to find people buried in the snow?

Breckenridge Ski Resort has released GoPro video of their avalanche dog, Loki, during safety week drills.

A volunteer was buried under three to four feet of snow. Loki had no idea where the person was buried when she was released.

After a few seconds, Loki was able to find the person. After a little bit of digging, the person is able to get out safely.

Breckenridge Ski Resort says it has five certified avalanche dogs and one in training.
