Travelers will see increased options between Casper and Denver

Starting in February, United Airlines plans to use larger airliners to fly passengers from Casper to Denver.

The new planes are designed to hold 70 passengers at a time, while United’s current planes can only hold 50.

The change was prompted by maintenance issues with the smaller crafts, as well as changed to pilot contracts.

The plan is moving forward despite an 11% decrease in traffic on the route in the last year.

United currently has no plans to cut back from the current four daily flights.

The new planes will offer first class and economy-plus seating, which is a first for Casper.
