Springs Rescue Mission gives the gift of a hot meal to needy

The Springs Rescue Mission spent Christmas Eve spreading cheer.

They gave the gift of a warm meal to anyone wanting one in Colorado Springs on Saturday.

During their recent Thanksgiving outreach, the mission served nearly 1,000 people.

It was clear for those enjoying the food, the non-profit’s efforts are appreciated.

“It’s a great cause for families during the holidays. The food was good, and the atmosphere was good. It’s Christmasy and holiday, so it’s nice, very nice!” said Twyla Newton

The event is a tradition the Springs Rescue Mission has held onto for more than a decade.
