Colorado business executives team up with The Salvation Army for fundraising event

Business executives and CEO’s will don blue aprons across El Paso County Wednsday in an effort to help the Salvation Army raise $20,000. The 2nd Annual CEO Ring Day begins at 11 a.m. and will end at 1 p.m. “Our original goal was to have 40 CEOs raise $40,000 and double what we did last year,” said Maj. Richard Larson, the El Paso County coordinator, “We ended up with 27 CEOs so they would each need to raise nearly $2,000 for us to reach our goal. But you never know. It could happen.” The money raised during the event will stay in El Paso County, with every $2 earned serving a warm meal and every $13 providing a night of shelter for the 222 people who are helped by The Salvation Army every night.
