St. Mary-Corwin will dedicate new Flight for Life Helicopter hangar
A new, all-weather hangar for Colorado Flight for Life will be dedicated on the campus of St. Mary-Corwin’s medical center at 2 p.m. Thursday. The hanger is 3,348 square feet, and cost $625,000 to build. It will serve Lifeguard 4, which is the hospital’s dedicated air ambulance. The helicopter was previously stored either outside or on an off-campus location, which increased the potential damage to the aircraft, officials at the hospital said. The Flight For Life team provides air ambulance and critical care transport services to hundreds of people across Colorado and northern New Mexico.
