Final community meeting for North Nevada Avenue Corridor Project to be held Thursday

The city of Colorado Springs will host the fourth and final community workshop for the North Nevada Avenue Corridor Project at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Mortgage Solutions Financial Expo Center at 3650 N. Nevada Ave. Members of the project team and officials from the city will focus on the community’s responses to the options for renewing the project area. The area extends from Garden of the Gods Road/Austin Bluffs Parkway to the Rock Island Trail/railroad just south of Fillmore Street. City planners will use the community’s responses to help them draft a final plan for the project. That plan will be presented to the community at an open house on at 6 p.m. Jan. 17 It is expected to be presented for final approval in March 2017.
