Snow brings icy conditions for drivers in Teller County

The snow brought slow going into Teller County Thursday night.

Icy conditions started going up the hill into Woodland Park, and continued into town and beyond.

Several cars were off the road with their hazards on because of the conditions.

People driving home to Woodland Park to Colorado Springs say they drove slowly to be safe.

“Just before town the rods were very slick, people were spinning around and not making it up the hill,” Jason Pierce said.

Others were continuing their way through icy Woodland Park onto Mueller State Park and beyond, anticipated worse conditions along Highway 24.

“Going to be worse I just put it into four wheel drive so yeah that’s one reason why I stopped,” Mike Bonaventura said.

Icy conditions will continue into Friday morning.
