2B passes in Pueblo

Election results are still coming in from Pueblo due to computer server problems on Election Day.

Many issues on the ballot involved marijuana and its usage within the city, including ballot issue 2B.

Now that 2B has passed, it will be the first time recreational marijuana sales are allowed in the city of Pueblo.

According to final numbers, 58.9% of voters said yes to the issue, and 41.1 said no.

It has been a controversial topic, with people passionately divided on both sides.

But Puebloans agree: The goal is to help Pueblo flourish and maintain a solid workforce.

“What we like to tell everybody is we have the entire package available here in Pueblo. Infrastructure, competitive utility, best workforce in Colorado,” said Jeffrey Shaw, President and CEO of Pedco.

Ballot question 2C, which asked voters if they wanted to tax recreational marijuana, failed.
