Companies to observe “Bring in Your Parents Day”

Friday is “Bring in Your Parents Day,” an initiative started by the social media website LinkedIn.

Employees are encouraged to invite their parents to work so they can get an inside look at their workplaces.

According to LinkedIn

1 in 3 parents do not know what their child does for a living. 1 in 5 parents think they would have a difficult time if they tried doing their son or daughter’s job. One third of parents in the U.S. think their child is on track to become more successful professionally.

Hundreds of businesses are taking part in the event.
