Budweiser, Lyft team up for drunk driving reduction effort

Budweiser and Lyft are teaming up in an effort to reduce drunken driving over the Halloween weekend.

Starting Thursday the companies will be offering free rides to 6,000 adults over the age of 21.

Anyone who wants to participate can obtain a ride code from Budweiser’s Facebook page, which they can redeem for a free ride home from Lyft on Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Last month, both companies announced a partnership to provide safe rides home in Colorado, New York, Illinois, Florida and Washington, D.C.
