Oktoberfest in the Royal Gorge
Colorado’s first and most historic railway has launched its Oktoberfest celebration.
KRDO NewsChannel 13 got a special ride onboard.
This year’s German-themed lunch train will run daily at 12:30 p.m. until October 18.
Barry, an accordion player who’s worked on the train for 10 years will be onboard in lederhosen entertaining guests.
There’s also a special Oktoberfest beer and food menu.
Many guests visited Canon City this weekend to enjoy the train’s stunning views, excellent service and chef-inspired locally sourced menus.
More than 100,000 guests from around the world ride the train every year.
