Donald Trump rallies hundreds of voters in Colorado Springs

Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump delivered a speech to a packed house at JetCenters located within the Colorado Springs Airport Saturday night, hoping to shore up the GOP base in the conservative stronghold of El Paso County.

His plane touched down on the tarmac minutes before he delivered his 40-minute speech.

The speech was very little Colorado specific. He stunned the crowd by letting them know about the explosion in New York City.

He drew big applause when he touched on his plan to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexican border.

He sprinkled in criticisms of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton hitting her for calling some his supporters “deplorables.”

Trump came to Battleground Colorado as the polls are tightening in this purple state. He has chipped away at the lead Clinton held here all summer.

He finished up his speech by asking all of his supporters to grab their friends before heading to the polls in November.

Colorado is a vote-by-mail state. Everyone’s ballots will be mailed out on October 17. You can either return your vote via mail or personally take them to one of the drop off boxes located at various locations around the county.

You can see those locations here.

It was all wheels up within an hour for Trump who is off the trail Sunday before going to Florida Monday.
