Colorado Springs police investigating possible homicide

Colorado Springs police were called to the area of Dublin and Union boulevards just before 5 a.m. on Saturday for a possible homicide.

Officers say they found a body with gunshot wounds in a backyard in the 6600 block of North Union.

SWAT teams, K9 units, Major Crimes Unit, ATF and police were all called to the scene.

Police closed Union Boulevard between Deliverance Drive and Dublin Boulevard for most of the morning but reopened the lanes at around 10 a.m.

Detectives are conducting interviews and processing the crime scene. At this time there is no danger to the public.
