Colorado Springs home raided by DEA / FBI

A normally quiet north side neighborhood was the target of a federal drug raid Wednesday night.

Agents with the drug Enforcement Agency, as well as the FBI, spent the night going through a home on the 6900 block of Hillock Drive, part of the Spring Creek Ranch subdivision.

Newschannel 13 was alerted to the activity by concerned neighbors, who saw more than a dozen agents descend on the home.

Agents could be observed removing multiple large bags from the home, but they were tight lipped about the exact nature of the raid.

Agents told our crew that this is a federal investigation, and they were not at liberty to tell us about
what was confiscated, or if there would be any arrests in connection with the raid.

We tried to speak to neighbors in the area, but several people declined.

Several told us off camera that the residents in the rental home were known to have hot tempers, and they feared repercussion.

Our crews confirmed that first-hand when they were confronted by a one resident who was extremely angry with our presence in front of the home.

Agents with the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force were at the home well after dark, scouring the home with flashlights for evidence in the case.

This is an ongoing investigation, and we are awaiting more information from federal agencies.

We will of course keep you updated here and on the networks of KRDO as soon as more details are provided.
